FAQs

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions patients have about dentistry and oral health issues.  If you have any other questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact our dental office, we would love to hear from you.

FIRST VISIT
This appointment will take approximately 30-45 minutes. During the exam we will answer three main questions for you: 1. Is there a problem? 2. If so, how long will it take to be treated and when should treatment begin? 3. What is the approximate cost? If treatment is indicated and you wish to proceed, specific records become necessary to move forward such as study casts, x-rays, and digital photographs of your face/oral anatomy. Dr. Aboudara will then complete a  diagnosis and treatment plan and will meet with you for a detailed consultation.

AGE OF FIRST VISIT
Orthodontic treatment can be started at any age. Many orthodontic problems are easier to
correct if detected at an early age, before jaw growth slows down. The American
Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child first visit an orthodontist by age
seven or earlier if a problem is detected by parents, the family dentist or the child's
physician.

COST/FEES
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s orthodontic issues. Typical
payment plans include a down-payment and monthly payments over the length of treatment
with no interest.

INSURANCE
If you carry dental insurance, a percentage of our fees may be covered. We will be happy
to prepare your insurance claim form to confirm services payable by your insurance
company
